Job Description
This role is responsible for finance, treasury, accounting, and tax management for the overseas entities. The incumbent is expected to optimize short-term capital allocation and ensure smooth trading operations for the overseas offices, which include optimizing banking facilities and ensuring sufficient funding, while ensuring alignment with Way of Conduct provided by CFO of PTT.
Finance- Develop financial planning, funding, and budgeting policies, standard, and guidelines for the company to ensure standardization of finance related work.
- Manage and control over company loan to manage long-term liability as well as ensure compliance with loan agreement conditions.
- Manage and control over financial plan development and execution for the company to ensure alignment with company’s direction and accomplishment of financial plan.
- Manage and control over capital structure in order to timely achieve target capital structure at the lowest cost.
- Manage and control over fund raising activities in order to obtain low cost and right amount of fund in a timely manner.
- Manage and control over financing activities in order to ensure efficiency of international trade activities / transactions.
- Suggest in new financial tools which could support company’s business growth.
- New investment / transaction advisory.
- Develop credit policies to be guidelines for appropriate credit management.
- Manage and control credit management, financial liquidity management, and financial risk management to ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.
- Manage and control trade credit management and negotiating with commercial banks in terms of credit limit, fees, agreement to ensure appropriateness and sufficiency of credit line e.g. Letter of Credit, Standby Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee.
- Manage and control risk related to credit line to ensure effectiveness in credit management.
- Manage short term and medium term investment management to gain optimal profits and ensure optimal cash and liquidity of the company.
- Manage and control over payment, receipt, and transfer of money to ensure accuracy of transaction in a timely manner.
- Manage and control financial risk of the company e.g. foreign exchange, interest rate and conduct hedging activities when needed in order to enhance financial stability.
- Manage and control liquidity management to ensure sufficient liquidity to support margin call with optimum cost of fund.
- Manage overall liquidity portfolio to ensure optimal cash and liquidity with optimal profits for the company.
- Manage and control Payment Undertaking (PU)/ Parent Company Guarantee (PCG) to ensure alignment to the PTT’s criteria and to optimize benefit to PTT and the Company.
- Manage policy, guideline, standard, and plan development of Managerial Accounting and Financial Accounting functions to ensure alignment across functions and alignment to business direction.
- Supervise, provide advice/ recommendation, and make decision related to managerial and financial accounting to ensure functions’ goals and targets accomplishment and corporate optimal benefit.
- Oversee and control Managerial Accounting and Financial Accounting to ensure accuracy, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of key tasks.
- Manage the development of consolidated financial statements for the company in order to ensure alignment with accounting standard and policy.
- Manage and control over tax planning and management in order to ensure compliance with PTT Policy , laws and regulations related to tax.
- Manage and control over performing all tax payments, reimbursements, and tax reporting in order to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with law and regulations.
- New investment / transaction advisory.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil and Gas industry.
- Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control and cash management.
- Experience of being a part of Senior Management and interacting with the Board.
- Ability to interpret, communicate and present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong numeracy skills, detailed and meticulous.
- Motivated and taking initiatives in problem solving.
- Good communication skills and team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge in SAP preferred.
- Proficiency in Thai language will be an advantage as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
