Lab Technician - Choa Chu Kang

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chemist, the Lab Technician carries out the following:

1. Performing quality control test for incoming raw materials, in-process, finished products and trial blends in accordance with documented procedures.
2. Recording and maintaining all testing/inspection records in a systematic manner so as to ensure traceability of records.
3. Calibrating and standardizing laboratory equipment to ensure reliability and consistency of the equipment.
4. To run SQC programmes for selected ASTM test method instruments.
5. Take part in periodic ASTM correlation programme.
6. Assist Chemist in working out the fix for off grade product.
7. Keeping retention samples for each production batch.
8. Preparing samples for customers
9. Doing trial blends for new formulations
10. Approving of on-specifications raw materials for use in production and on specification products for delivery.
11. To run QC-QA programme as per schedule.
12. Carry out all operations according to documented procedures and complying with Company's Integrated Management System.
13. Participating in continual improvement programmes.
14. Practising good work practices such as housekeeping in the laboratory.
15. Monitoring consumable inventory in the laboratory.
16. Carry out any other assignments given by supervisor.
17. Performing all work activities in accordance with instructions and in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
