We are seeking a qualified and motivated Geologist /Petrographer to join our materials analysis team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting petrographic examinations of rocks, aggregates, and concrete materials to support construction, research, and forensic investigations.

Geologist /Petrographer Job Requirements:

• Identity rock forming minerals in thin section
• Good knowledge and understanding of basic mineralogy
• Experience in petrographic studies of coarse and fine aggregates for concrete
• Able to conduct petrographic studies of concrete including analyzing of coarse and fine aggregate, mineral additives, cracks, type of cement, porosity, carbonation depth, alkali silica and alkali carbonate reaction, degree of cement hydration, sulphate attack, fire damage, water/cement ratio (ASTM C856).
• Quarry inspections for the quality of aggregates to be used in concrete

Qualification:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised insitution in a related field
• At least 2 yeas in total of working experience in carrying out test in laboraotries (whether in Singapore or elsewhere of which at least on year must be in carrying out petrographic examinations.
