Chief Operating Officer (Managing Director) - Bedok

The incumbent is the overall in charge of the operations of the company in Singapore. Implement strategies and business direction in line with HQ.

• Developing and executing Company’s business strategies for company growth and expansion.
• Providing strategic direction to all business units in the company for mid to long term sustainable business expansion.
• Representing the Company to major customers and suppliers
• Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
• Ensuring company compliance both internal, external and group.
• Overseeing the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
• Delegating responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
• Building and maintaining an effective team of employees
• Analysing problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Management or any other relevant discipline with at least 18 years of Asia-Pacific experience in the wholesale trading industry.
• Candidate must have proven work experience as C suite executive and demonstrable experience in developing strategies, business plans and managing a mid-size company.
• Candidate must have experience in leading multicultural, on-site, hybrid and remote teams across geographies.
• Candidate must have fluent Japanese language proficiency to liaise with Japanese speaking clients and suppliers as well as stakeholders.
• Candidate must have excellent organizational, leadership, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
