Hougang - Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our team at Ong Teng Chong Building Contractor Pte Ltd, based in the North-East Region. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects, contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

1. Overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from start to finish
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors and project stakeholders, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
3. Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress and identifying and resolving any issues that arise
4. Preparing detailed reports, drawings and other project documentation as required
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards
6. Providing technical support and guidance to project teams
7. Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and practices

1. Diploma/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar project engineer role, preferably within the construction industry .
3. Entry-level candidates, including fresh graduates, are welcome.
4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
6. Thorough understanding of construction methods, techniques and materials
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
