Senior/ Executive Engineer (Asset Management) - Bukit Batok

Supporting the Asset Management Department. This position requires deep expertise in rotating equipment, vibration diagnostics, and maintenance strategy development to support the operations and reliability of a Cogeneration Power Plant. This position will lead efforts in condition monitoring, failure analysis, and the implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program.

• Serve as the technical authority for all rotating equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, compressors, and fans.
• Conduct and interpret vibration analysis, thermography, and other condition monitoring techniques.
• Lead root cause failure analysis (RCA) and corrective action planning for mechanical issues.
• Design and implement a comprehensive maintenance program incorporating: Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
• Manage the entire lifecycle of plant mechanical assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
• Develop strategies for effective utilization, performance optimization, and timely upgrades or replacements.
• Develop equipment criticality assessments and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) plans.
• Optimize spare parts inventory in line with the criticality of assets and maintenance workflows using CMMS.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both engineering functions and asset performance.
• Lead in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex plant issues.
• Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for technical support and upgrades.
• Support outage planning, execution, and post-outage evaluations. Develop QC hold points for critical outages.
• Oversee O&M budget and develop/ manage budgets for engineering improvement projects and asset management initiatives.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment history, diagnostics, and maintenance actions.
• Guide and mentor plant personnel in mechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in Power Generation or heavy industrial environment.
• Proven track record in rotating equipment diagnostics and maintenance strategy development.
• Proficient in vibration analysis tools (e.g. Bently Nevada, SKF, Emerson).
• Strong understanding on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical integrity.
• Experience with CMMS platforms and reliability engineering tools.
• Certification in Vibration Analysis (ISO Category I or higher), OEM training (e.g., GE or Siemens), or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
• Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behavior.
• Be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
