Interior Designer (junior & senior position)

Looking for Junior and Senior Interior Designers:

• Relevant Architectural or Interior Design Degree
• Junior - min 2 years experience (local or international projects)
• Senior - min 6 years experience (local or international projects)
• Hospitality, Institutional, Workplace projects
• Design Flare, strong in design presentation (visual & communication) and technical knowledge in building services

SENIOR/INTERIOR DESIGNER

Specific Responsibility, Accountability & Authority:

1. Responsible to the Project Director/Associate Director and will liaise with the Associate/Architect, senior project executive and 3D Department, for projects where the Architect of the building is AWP. For purely ID fit-out works commissioned independently, Interior Designer is responsible to the ID Director and will liaise with the senior project executive and 3D department.
2. Assist in the day-to-day executive work including design presentations, project management, contract administration and project correspondences
3. Reports to ID Director on all design and technical matters.
4. Assist in conceptual & detail Design Development.
5. CAD or manual drafting of sketch and detailed construction drawings to comply with the various relevant authorities’ requirements. Track the application for planning and building approvals with government authorities by consultants.
6. Liaising with vendors/suppliers’ representatives for ID materials, finishes, FF&E specifications.
7. Evaluate and comment on the contractor’s construction programme and resource planning and establish the expenditure control system and the limits of authority to order variations to contracts.
8. Providing all necessary information and issuing directions and instructions to the project manager and the building contractor to enable the building contractor to proceed with the works.
9. Perform the following tasks as required by the project:-

• Liaison with clients and consultants
• Site inspection
• Attend consultants / site meetings
• Assist in the architectural/ID co-ordination, organisation & preparation of construction documents and drawings.
• Preparation of the following:-
• Minutes of meeting
• Material specifications and schedule of finishes
• FF&E cut sheets
• Material sample board
• Images and Perspectives (with the assistance of 3D department
• Liaison with suppliers & contractors.

For Senior Interior Design position, the above responsibility applies. In addition:

1. Plan the deliverables and the resource allocation for each stages of the project.
2. Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the ID system standardization.
