CNC Programmer

Job Description:

• Create CNC programs for turning operations to support production needs, including the preparation of FAT and FAI orders.
• Provide troubleshooting support for CNC machines, including resolving program-related issues and making adjustments when new or alternative cutters are used.
• Operate and work with machines such as DMG, Mori Seiki, Mazak, and systems using Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• Coordinate and manage cutting tools, including sourcing and ordering existing and new cutters from suppliers as required.
• Monitor tool room staff activities, including workload, attendance, and daily scheduling.
• Work closely with engineers to plan and align machining processes and methods.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure tool room schedules align with project timelines and completion targets.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in a relevant field.
• Relevant work experience and certifications.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CNC turning programming.
• Experience in tool room management or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning programming.
• Hands-on programming experience with Fanuc, Mazak, and Siemens CNC controls, including ShopTurn (Siemens).
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam).
• Good understanding of tooling, inserts, cutting parameters, and materials.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers and production teams.
• Able to work in a fast-paced machine shop environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
