Job Title: Tank Cleaner

The ISO Tank Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of ISO tanks used for transporting various substances. This role involves adhering to safety protocols, effectively cleaning tanks, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cleaners must ensure to understand all the SAFETY Measure before he can proceed for his work.
• Cleaner must know the last products issued by the Supervisor or Surveyors before he can proceed cleaning the tanks. (Job sheet issued)
• Cleaners must report to Supervisor once completed cleaning.
• Cleaner must hand the job sheet to the Supervisor to inspect the tank. All Safety Measure check and documented before Supervisor and Cleaner enter into tank to inspect.
• Cleaner must do preparation before conduct inspection by Supervisor
• Supervisor prepare to apply PTW for confined space entry before entering the tank.
• Confined Space Assessor to monitors the air in a ISO Tank confined space to detect thepresence of harmful gases.carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, flammable gases and oxygen with the Gas Detector.
• Confined Space Assessor will fill in the PTW confined space form.
• Once completed filling in the PTW form, Assessor will conduct safety briefing to all person who involve entering into confined space.
• Assessor completed briefing, either Assessor or Supervisor will submit the PTW form to the Authorities Manager for Approval to enter the Tank.
• Before Authorities Manager sign the approval for entry permit, the Cleaners & Supervisor team will prepare safety equipment.
• Authorities Manager approved the PTW entry permit, either Cleaners of Surveyor/QC will collect the approval entry permit to place near the ISO Tank entrance.
• Each entry permit vaild maximum 4 hours/entry
• Surveyor/QC & cleaner will enter the Tank to conduct inspection with the 4-way gas detector clip onto the harness.
• Supervisor/QC will conduct QC after cleaning the interior, if there is any little touch up, cleaner will follow instruction to clear the work.
• On Top of the ISO tank, there will be another person communicate with the QC & cleaner inside the confined space to ensure the QC & cleaner are safe through out the inspection Buddy System is compulsory during entering into confined space.
• Once completed the interior inspection, QC & the cleaner will move out from the confined space, all entry will be closed to avoid any other people from entering.
