Investment Manager - Geylang
About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile and driven Investment Manager to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will take on a trader-focused function, with exposure to both secondary market (public equities) and private equity investment opportunities.This role requires strong market acumen, execution capability, and a proactive attitude in identifying and managing investment opportunities. Experience in portfolio management is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate Investment Strategies
Construct and optimize investment portfolios to ensure decisions are data-driven, forward-looking, and aligned with performance goals.
- Market Monitoring and Research
Monitor real-time developments in capital markets, including equities, private investment trends, and sectoral movements. Continuously track key indicators and adjust investment positions as needed to respond to volatility or emerging risks. Evaluate both listed and unlisted companies' financial and operational performance, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data into decision-making.
- Portfolio and Trade Management
Implement effective portfolio liquidity planning and establish clear stop-loss or rebalancing thresholds. Maintain oversight of a portfolio AUM ranging from USD 30 million to 100 million.
- Reporting and Strategic Support
Prepare regular investment reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders, detailing investment performance, rationale, risk assessments, and strategic outlook. Reports should be insight-driven, data-accurate, and clearly articulate the logic behind each portfolio adjustment or proposed opportunity.
- Collaboration and External Engagement
Work collaboratively with internal research and investment teams. Actively share insights and engage in strategy development. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including brokers, fund houses, deal originators, and advisory firms, to expand the firm’s access to market intelligence and pipeline opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines
- Proven experience in investment, trading, equity research, or deal evaluation
- Familiarity with either public markets or private equity – both are welcome
- Portfolio management experience is a plus
- CFA certification or relevant licenses (e.g., Fund/Securities Practitioner) are an advantage
- Strong analytical, execution, and decision-making skills
- Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus due to market and communication needs
- High attention to detail, ethical conduct, and ability to work under pressure.
