HR Manager
Position Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions within the organization. This role will play a strategic and operational part in driving HR initiatives that align with the company’s business objectives, regulatory requirements, and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment & Selection
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent within the insurance industry.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower needs and plan workforce requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Work Pass application, renewal and cancellation.
- Training & Development
- Maintain staff training records and assists in training registration.
- Monitor and track CPD hours
- Performance Management
- Assist in the performance appraisal process to ensure fair and consistent evaluations.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance coaching, feedback, and career development.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Process monthly payroll and generate HR/Payroll related reports
- Participate in statutory surveys, MAS & MOM etc
- Submit government claims
- Manage employee benefits programs, including insurance coverage and wellness initiatives.
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related matters, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry regulations.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Handle all other HR Projects and Administrative matters and undertake tasks as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience, with minimum 3 years in managerial capacity.
- Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS guidelines).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational responsibilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proactive, resilient, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- 5-day work week (Mon – Fri, 9 am - 6 pm, 1 hour lunch)
