Business Analyst (Energy & Utilities Infrastructure)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm

Role Overview

Our client, a leading organisation in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking a Business Analyst to support digital initiatives, system enhancements, and operational improvements. This role involves close collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver practical, user-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements for system enhancements, workflows, and new implementations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational constraints, usability challenges, and business needs
• Translate processes into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Support product planning and participate in feature refinement discussions
• Communicate requirements effectively to development and UI/UX teams
• Assist in sprint activities by clarifying requirements and ensuring delivery readiness

• Develop test scenarios and prepare test data based on business requirements
• Perform functional testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including sign-offs
• Manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution with technical teams

• Provide ongoing support for live systems, including troubleshooting and resolving user issues
• Track and manage incidents, ensuring timely resolution with relevant teams
• Coordinate production releases with stakeholders and technical teams

• Maintain documentation such as process flows, SOPs, and system guides
• Develop training materials and conduct onboarding or training sessions for users

• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment
• Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
• Contribute to product roadmap planning and recommend enhancements based on feedback

• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role
• Experience in UAT coordination, defect tracking, and deployment support
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Basic understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data flows
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Self-driven and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work with global teams across different time zones when required
