Junior Legal Counsel [up to $8,000 + AWS | East]

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to group companies and affiliates, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, global legal standards and best practices.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational contracts, including licensing, reseller, vendor, non-disclosure, employment and service agreements.
• Manage and support legal due diligence processes and requirements.
• Oversee the group's intellectual property portfolio and advise on IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights and patents.
• Coordinate and manage external and foreign legal counsel when required.
• Assist in developing and implementing standardised legal templates, corporate policies and internal legal processes.
• Support corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters as required.
• Conduct internal legal training sessions for business and operational stakeholders where necessary.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy requirements.
• Track legal and regulatory developments that may impact the business and provide timely updates.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records and documentation.
• Support ad-hoc legal projects as the group continues to grow and evolve.

Requirements:

• Law degree from a recognised university.
• Qualified lawyer in Singapore, the UK or another common law jurisdiction with 2-3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Sound knowledge of corporate and commercial law or M&A.
• Experience in IP/TMT or industries such as technology, gaming or digital services is an added advantage.
• Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills with clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
• Ability to support projects across multiple geographies and diverse subject matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives and engage effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
