Position Overview
The Assistant Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of public relations, communication and social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage target audience and drive business objectives.Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, this position involves strategic planning, creative development and cross-functional collaborations.
The Role- Content Development
o Create compelling content such as copywriting for brochures, digital materials, and social media content, along with production of imagery and videography that align with brand messaging and objectives
o Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay updated on industry trends and audience preferences, ensuring content relevance and engagement, while still maintaining brand standards
o Ensure all content is accurate, up to date, and adheres to brand guidelines- Manage Marketing Communications and Public Relations
o Act as the liaison between the marketing communications department and internal teams or agencies on marketing plans and activations
o Collaborate with internal teams to manage information, media relations activities including drafting press releases, key appointments and maintaining the hotel’s photo library
o Responsible for the execution and coordination of media events, community relations, and press promotional activations to ensure positive coverage and brand representation- Manage Marketing Campaigns and Events
o Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and/or event to promote the hotel, spa and dining establishments
o Maintain a comprehensive list of local media contacts, with particular emphasis on editors, food critics, influencers, and celebrities
o Ensure effective communication and the successful execution of the communications calendar by developing a schedule of press releases, advisories, promotions as well as newsworthy events taking place in and around the hotel for relevant media outreach
o Monitor and verify news clippings and ensures monthly media reports are completed on a timely basis
o Support and manages the coordination of photography for advertising, collateral and public relations purposes between the hotel, vendors and internal teams
o Act as the point of contact for approved photographers for imagery and videography content including coordinating with hotel and corporate teams to ensure adherence to brand voice- Budget Management
