The Job
The Maintenance Engineer position is a key supporting role for the continued growth of our MRO
operations. The position holder shall provide engineering and maintenance support for all machinery, infrastructure and test equipment, covering the planning, organization and execution of maintenance activities to maximise machine availability and operational uptime.
What You Can Expect of the Job- You’re accountable for maximizing machine availability and maintenance of workshop equipment, such as machining/cutting equipment, and mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment such as compressor/booster systems, heaters, test boxes, and test rigs.
- You’ll establish the annual preventive maintenance plan, coordinate the activities with the workshop/maintenance team and provide regular updates to the management team.
- You’ll prepare operating reports, such as machine availability, to closely manage related maintenance activities, and provision for maintenance expenditures.
- You’ll participate in incident investigations to identify root causes of equipment failure and to provide recommendations for improvement.
- You’ll develop work instructions and conduct training to the maintenance team to carry out routine maintenance work and troubleshooting of machine faults.
- You’ll screen, pre-select and manage service providers and conduct regular reviews of servicing contracts to determine or update maintenance work scope specifications.
- You’ll work closely with the supply chain team on machine/equipment quotations, and budgetary planning of new equipment or service contracts.
- You’ll conduct equipment risk assessments and strive to develop a positive safety culture.
- You’ll take on various engineering-related assignments as required for future growth of operations, e.g. in collaboration with OEM, vendors and the repair development team to establish the required specifications.

- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in maintenance of equipment/machines.
- Possess good analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- Solid understanding of Hydraulic / Pneumatic theory and operations.
- A broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.
- Understand and able to utilise standard mechanical/electrical instruments, functional gauges, and test rigs.
- Ability to interpret CMMs, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and make rational decisions to balance budgeting needs vs
- operational impact/downtime.
- Demonstrated proficiency in effective usage of IT applications and digital tools.
- Effective communication - Ability to convey information, concepts and concerns to people with
- differing communication styles.
- Some knowledge or experience in project management, CAD, Al and management of operational
- data is an advantage.
- Hands-on and physically capable of fulfilling the demands of maintenance work.
