Application Support Engineer - Geylang

We are seeking a highly motivated Application Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing L1/L2 support for business-critical applications, ensuring minimal downtime, and delivering an excellent support experience for users.

• Provide L1/L2 application support across multiple business applications.
• Respond, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues within agreed SLAs.
• Perform data patching and data retrieval as required.
• Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or development teams when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports.
• Document recurring issues and workarounds in the internal knowledge base to improve efficiency.

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in application support or a similar role.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools that can assist in issue resolution and productivity improvement.
• Basic Knowledge of modern frontend and backend frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting, bash scripting, and automation tools.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals(DNS, load balancing, firewalls, proxies, etc.).
• Basic understanding of middleware technologies (e.g., message brokers, API gateways, background job processors).
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Sentry, New Relic, Crashlytics, etc).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management).

• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, and React Native.
• Experience with middleware technologies (e.g., message brokers, API gateways, background job processors).
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, proxies, etc.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
