Laboratory Analyst (12 hours shift)

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests and analysis in compliance with established laboratory standards, policies and processes, and record all findings accurately.
• Perform analysis at site laboratories or at field assignments.
• Prepare and standardize reagents and test solutions.
• Review, question and repeat results if suspicious results are encountered.
• Represent the Laboratory as witness at third party and refinery laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the laboratory, including apparatus, equipment and materials used.
• Assist in the practical training of new Analyst where assigned.
• Perform shift work and overtime when required.
• Perform any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Apply judgement and act according to SGS standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.

• Good knowledge of laboratory processes and safe handling of chemicals.
• Good knowledge and experience in handling Gas Chromatography and other scientific testing instruments.
• High attention to details, meticulous with good time management.
• Results and service-oriented.
• Team player with a positive working attitude.
• Able to multi-task and work independently within challenging timelines.
