Responsibilities and duties- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, including sponge cakes, layered cakes, cupcakes, and specialty cakes.
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, using various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and airbrushing.
- Create custom cake designs for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events.
- Ensure all cakes are baked and decorated to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their design preferences and requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cake decorating area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay updated on current cake decorating trends and techniques.
- Assist in the development of new cake recipes and decoration ideas.
- At least 1 year of experience in crafting a variety of cakes, from classic styles to custom designs for special occasions.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong baking skills, artistic talent, and a keen attention to detail.
