Quality Assurance Officer
Overview
Our client is a well-established distributor within the premium food and perishable goods sector, with over Three decades of established presence in Singapore. They partner with established supermarket chains including NTUC FairPrice, Giant and Cold Storage, alongside clients in cruise lines, hospitality, catering, wholesale and restaurant sectors, ensuring reliable operations and consistent delivery.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer (QA) to ensure that the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, MSC CoC Quality Management System (QMS), and HACCP are implemented and maintained effectively.
Location: North
Working hours: Monday to Friday: 0830hrs to 1745hrs / Saturday: 0830hrs to 1230hrs
Alternate: 5.5 days work weekSalary: Basic up $3000 + $400 flexi allowance + AWS + VB + Medical & Insurance benefits
Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and implement the Food Quality and Safety Management System
- Enforce Food Quality and Safety policies, as well as MSC CoC policies and procedures across company premises
- Conduct daily and weekly validation inspections to ensure compliance (CCP, PRP, OPRP, GMP, GHP, MSC) and identify areas for improvement
- Investigate and report any non-conformances observed in the workplace or arising from customer returns
- Support preparations for customer audits, regulatory inspections, and external accreditation reviews
- Participate in internal audits and Design & Development initiatives
- Perform monthly laboratory testing, data analysis, and preparation of QA reports
- Liaise with relevant authorities and third parties, including managing licence renewals
- Maintain proper documentation, filing, and reporting for all activities, including ad-hoc projects Undertake any other duties as assigned by the superior
- Minimum Diploma in Food Science, Quality, or a related engineering discipline
- At least 2 years of QA experience within the Food & Beverage or Food Packaging Manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 management systems
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is required
- ISO/FSSC 22000 or HACCP Internal Auditor certification is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to make sound decisions and prepare clear reports
