Product Manager

Job Summary

Product Lifecycle Management
  • Effective product life cycle management e.g. from introduction to end-of-life (EOL)
  • Anticipate challenges to product lines and proactively work on strategies to counter them
  • Aggressively champion and drive business and opportunities for the product group, especially for new businesses
  • To plan all activities with effective ROls and assist with the development of the annual marketing plan including advertising, promotion, activities and sales kit by working closely with the local marketing team Support to Sales Team and Partners
  • Responsible for equipping the sales team with the necessary product knowledge to enable them to sell Company products effectively. Be the initial reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to address any issues that may arise
  • Develop channel marketing programs to achieve these sales goals
  • Develop positive working relationship with channel partners to generate revenue
  • Communicate clearly and assist partners in the execution of channel marketing programs
  • Joint visitation with sales colleagues & potential partners, where required
  • Focus on producing programs to achieve sell in, sell out & sell through
  • Develop strategic product marketing plans for the product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning
Administration
  • Timely ISM submission & creation of Form C for special price support
  • Creation of price list/ memo for distribution to internal and external stakeholders
  • Creation of program cost sheets to support channel related activities, including liaison with Legal team where necessary
  • Responsible for preparing product forecasts, and constantly monitoring inventory levels, including liaison with relevant departments to ensure stock availability & supply timelines
  • Participation and preparation for key meetings
Key Accountabilities
  • Achieve business plan
  • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product and be the expert in the assign product group(s)
  • Collaborate with key team members from across the business, i.e. sales, presales, marketing, customer service to drive the business

Key Job Requirements

Job/ Skills Competencies
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in product management or channel sales
  • Able to work across teams i.e. marketing, pre-sales, sales, customer service etc.
  • Able to think out of the box with strong execution ability
  • Able to engage channel partners and media partners
  • Attention to details and administration
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good time management with the ability to work tight time pressure
Critical Work Experience
  • Previous experience in AV related industries (e.g. projectors, sound, FPDs, LEDs) is preferred
Qualifications
  • Min. Diploma/ Degree in business with at least 4 years of relevant experience in the AV industry
