Choa Chu Kang - Senior/ Chemical Technician

Salary Range: 3,000 - 5,000

Our client is a Japanese chemical manufacturing company. The Senior/ Chemical Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the production process operations. This role will be reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

• Monitor and maintained process units and equipment, adjusting parameters and analyzing DCS trends to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Perform routine and minor maintenance (e.g., strainer cleaning, filter changes, coolant/lubricant top-ups, hose connections).
• Conduct equipment checks, start-up, shutdown, isolation, and emergency shutdown procedures in line with SOPs and safety standards.
• Collect and tested process samples in both plant and laboratory environments to verify and maintain product quality.
• Prepare chemicals (mixing/dilution), blended off-spec products, and carried out inter-tank transfers following established quality procedures.
• Commission/decommission process equipment and prepared systems for maintenance using proper Lockout, Tagout, Tryout (LOTOTO) procedures.
• Support safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) initiatives through emergency response drills and continuous improvement activities.

【Requirements & Preferences】

• NITEC in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Process Technician in the chemical industry.

-Willing and able to work on a 3-2-2 shift pattern schedule.

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
