Position Overview
- We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, specializing in Trade Finance and Financial Institution (FI) Loans. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the Bank’strade-related assets and FI lending portfolio in Singapore. This position requires a high level of expertise in international trade rules, credit risk assessment, and proactive coordination with various stakeholders, including our Head Office and regional counterparties.
- Transaction Management &Execution: Direct management of day-to-day Trade Finance activities, including Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentary credits, documentary collections, and guarantees.
- Technical Examination: Conduct detailed document examination and discrepancy handling for trade transactions in strict adherence to international standards (UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, etc.).
- FI Lending & Credit Support: Facilitate FI Loan transactions through comprehensive credit-related assessments, transaction structuring, and approval coordination.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Perform post-transaction monitoring and regular risk assessments of existing exposures to identify and mitigate potential credit, operational, or compliance risks.
- HQ Liaison & Reporting: Serve as a primary point of contact for Head Office (HQ)regarding credit approvals and strategic reporting. This includes reviewing internal HQ guidelines and ensuring local operations align with global corporate standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong business relationships with financial institutions, corporate clients, and internal departments to support transaction flow and business growth.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Trade Finance and/or FI Loans within the banking sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP 745, etc.) and a solid understanding of credit fundamentals and lending principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Korean (written and verbal) is preferred to facilitate effective communication with the Head Office and to accurately interpret internal technical documents and reporting requirements drafted in Korean.
- Professional Certification: Holders of CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) or CSDG(Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees) will be given priority.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven track record in business development or relationship management within the FI space.
