Research Officer (Pharmacy) – Microbiology & Laboratory Accreditation

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Officer with strong experience in microbiology and laboratory licensing/accreditation to support the SGH Pharmacy Therapy Service/Research.
The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining regulatory and quality compliance in a laboratory environment.
The role involves independent bench work, laboratory maintenance and ISO and HSA Manufacturing/MOH licensing and accreditation activities.
An innovative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
Qualifications- BSc in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent.
- Prior laboratory experience in microbiology (bacteriology) and molecular biology.
- Demonstrated experience with laboratory licensing and accreditation, including ISO standards and HSA Manufacturing / MOH regulatory requirements (strongly preferred).
- Fundamental knowledge of microbiological kill assays and antibiotic susceptibility testing.
- Experience in bacteriophage biology is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
