Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Traffic Controller in SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd. The Traffic Controller play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the movement of containers via land transportation, ensuring timely deliveries, efficient route planning and effective communication with drivers and clients.
- Manage trucking activities to fulfill customers’ delivery requirement.
- Provide real-time updates on job progress in the system.
- Monitor truck and delivery status to optimize resources.
- Coordinate container trucking consignments with Prime Mover Drivers and customers.
- Ensure the accuracy of driver incentives for drivers.
- Perform counseling to Prime Mover Drivers when necessary.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Nitec or equivalent qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, transportation or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in deployment of drivers for trucking/ loose cargo jobs.
- Competent in Portnet.
- Strong understanding of land transportation regulations, routes and logistical considerations in Singapore.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
