Systems Analyst - Pasir Ris
Job Purpose
The candidate will implement and design technical interfaces across heterogeneous environments securely using centralized middleware and reporting including translating business requirements into technical blueprint and specification, which includes configuration, assessing and communicating impact and using business rules to automate decisions related to a process or integration scenarios.
He/she will provide solutions to the business requirement including effort estimation (configuration, workflow, interface, report, data mapping), change impact analysis and ensuring technical integrity of the delivered solution.
He/she will also perform system development and programming.
Responsibilities
Systems Analyst duties and responsibilities include:
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications (of middleware) and perform feasibility study and propose sound integration solution, create program specification.
- Perform system development work based on the specification.
- Conduct quality check, ABAP Code Review if applicable, quality testing and fulfil the tasks based on the specification before requesting for user acceptance test.
- Preparation of UAT test cases, cutover activities.
- Follow the agreed timeline set by the team leader and ensure there is no delay in completing.
- Involve in Project implementation. In addition, he/she will be required to follow the SDLC documentation policy and involved and responsible for all types of system documentation.
- Monitor, facilitate and report the timely and successful resolution of all critical interface issues and risks. Make sure SOPs are practiced
- Develop, update and ensure the accuracy of the Interface Coordination Plan during all implementation projects
- Report the status of interface integration issues and their status via various communication methods on a pre-defined frequency to the application team
- Work with vendor or project manager on new integration with SAP, Non SAP Systems like Maximo, .net Systems etc. as well as troubleshoot complex/interface issues and document solutions
- Give application technical support for month end / year end closing cycles and internal/external audit wherever applicable.
- Manage system incident tickets/service request to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Carry out root-cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.
- Any other tasks assigned by the managers.
- You should possess a Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology with at least 3 – 5 years of work experience in Implementation and Support Lifecycle within ERP using middleware and understanding of how this is used to support that sector of the Business.
- Should be an experienced SAP Process Integration candidate with a deep understanding of PI/PO Architecture and CPI with experience working in SAP ECC HANA on Cloud
- Good exposure on SLD (System Landscape Directory) configuration settings;
- Design and Development experience in ESR (Enterprise Services Repository) and ID (Integration Directory);
- SAP PI/PO/CPI mapping implementation (e.g. graphical PI/PO/CPI mappings, fairly Java knowledge for UDF (User Defined Function) development, XSLT mappings or JAVA mappings);
- SAP PI/PO/CPI interface configuration (e.g. routing rules, SAP PI/PO/CPI standard adapters, connections to SAP backend systems).
- Good knowledge & experience in implementation of the most used PI/PO/CPI adapters.
- Proficient and working experience with Integration Suite (and its components).
- Experience in SuccessFactors APIs, Integration Center and Ariba CIG would be good.
- Experience in migrating PI interfaces to CPI.
- Experience in SAP BTP, SAP Build Process Automation, and SAP Event Mesh would be good
- Excellent logical & analytical skills with ability to work independently.
- Experience in preparation of Technical Specs, UAT test cases, cutover activities related to PI/CPI
- Experience in implementing & supporting interfaces from/to non-SAP systems
- Experience in BAPI, RFC, Idoc, SAP script, Smart-forms, User Exits, BADI, ALV report, BDC, LSMW, calling of APIs and Dialog programming would be an added advantage

Skills
Technical skills include:
- Knowledge in SAP PI 7.5 and Integration Suite.
- Knowledge in Interfaces through CPI and PI from third party systems like Maximo, Anaplan, Treasury Systems
- Skillset in handling SLD, ESR, Integration Builder, Central Monitoring, Message Processing technique
- Skillset in handling Design using integration repository to design message structure, Configuration using Integration Directory (ID) technical parameters for objects created in IR ( Integration Repository)
- Skillset in Message processing and monitoring by converting messages into XML format for its internal processing and using "Run Time Workbench".
- Good knowledge in Connectivity: Proxy Framework & Adapter Framework and skillset in adaptors like File/FTP Adapter, HTTP Adapter/HTTP AAE Adapter, IDoc Adapter, JDBC, SOAP, RFC Adapters including REST APIs
- Skillset in handling SAP CPI tools, integration technologies (SOAP, REST, OData, etc.), Groovy scripting, XML, XSLT, and JSON transformations
- Preparation of UNIT Testing document, Integration Testing Document and End User Manuals
- Preparation of Knowledge Transfer documents
- Preparation of Functional Specification for any custom solution, ability to work on interfaces and work with ABAP team if required
