Overview:
The Principal of the International School (Primary & Secondary Education) is a visionary leader and effective manager responsible for the school's success in delivering high-quality education to primary and secondary students.
This pivotal role oversees all facets of the school's academic operations, including academic programs, faculty and staff leadership, student welfare, and stakeholder engagement.
The Principal who reports directly to the School Management will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and service and academic excellence, aligning with the school’s mission and values while driving the institution's brand to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Industry Competitiveness: Monitor emerging trends to ensure the school remains competitive.
- Drive Organizational Performance:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Mentor and retain high-quality teaching and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for teachers.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment for academic staff.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and assessment tools.
- Ensure compliance and monitor adherence with SkillsFuture Singapore and international accreditation standards with Cambridge.
- Develop and implement school policies aligned with local and international educational regulations.
- Drive School’s Growth:
- Develop strategies to enhance the school’s profile and attract prospective families.
- Monitor enrolment trends.
- Lead the team to increase student admissions rate.
- Drive School’s Academic and Service Excellence:
- Evaluate curriculum effectiveness by ensuring the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum – Cambridge Curriculum.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust teaching and assessment practices.
- Promote a holistic education approach that includes academics, co-curricular activities, and character development.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate student performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that student well-being and safeguarding are top priorities in all school policies and practices.
- Be involved in international curriculum development and case discussions, parents’ communication & orientations.
- Manage Stakeholders:
- Build strong relationships with parents and the school community.
- Communicate effectively and consciously with stakeholders about the school’s achievements, goals, and policies.
- Ability to manage good relationships with parents, teachers, and students.

This focuses on the responsibility for driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness in the school's day-to-day operations. A competent individual who can be able to make things work better, faster, and more cost-effectively.

This requires a blend of analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the business and its environment.
Job Requirements:
- A total of minimum 10 years Leadership & Teaching experience in any Cambridge /IB curriculum international schools with a proven track record of best leading & teaching outcomes.
- A dynamic leader with at least 3 years of experience in the Leadership Position as Principal or Head of School in any international schools in Singapore. Experience working in multicultural and international school settings is an advantage.
- Candidate must at least possess a Master’s Degree, and a Professional Degree in Teaching / Training/ Psychology/ Education/ Early Childhood or equivalent.
- Well conversant with excellent modern pedagogies & assessment skills.
- Strong organizational, managerial, and administrative skills to oversee the school's daily classes effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and parents.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of educational pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Creating a positive school culture, managing disciplinary issues, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Conversant in either Hindi or Tamil is preferred.
