Regional Accountant / Head of Finance - Bukit Merah

Overview:

This position ensures financial strategic planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management to support regional growth and operational excellence. This role will oversee a team of locally based accountants/bookkeepers and will have a matrix reporting structure to both the CEO and in market General Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with regional business objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the region.
• Manage financial reporting, analysis, and performance metrics to provide insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Lead and coordinate regional audit processes and internal control measures.
• Provide financial guidance on large projects, investments, and cost management initiatives.
• Record and manage financial transactions related to business activities cross the region.
• Prepare financial reports on regional sales, expenses, and profitability.
• Work closely with distributors and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Analyze regional distribution costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in accounting, preferably within the distribution or retail sectors.
• 8-10 Years working experience preferably in a regional business environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regional regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software preferably Oracle Netsuite
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
