Cashier - Geylang

• Ensure phones, walkie talkie, and all other communication tools are functioning properly to assist with customer inquiries and team coordination
• Handle Transactions: Efficiently processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and other accepted methods.
• Recording Orders: Entering customer orders into the point-of-sales POS system accurately, whether for dine-in, takeaway, or delivery.
• Providing customers with accurate and the right receipts after processing their orders.
• Addressing any issues or complaints from customers courteously and escalating to a manager if necessary.
• Offer friendly greetings to each customer upon arrival and expressing gratitude after each transaction.
• Handle Cash Transactions: Giving customers the correct change when they pay in cash.
• Monitoring the Cash Drawer: Ensuring the cash drawer remains balanced and alerting management if there are any discrepancies.
• Handling Refunds and Voids: Processing Refunds: Managing customer refund requests, ensuring the restaurant’s policy is followed and obtain manager’s approval if required.
• Inform Manager or Supervisor to order when the stock is running low.
• Working fast and efficiently during Peak hours to keep the queuing lines moving and minimize customer waiting time. Directing customers to the correct payment line.
• Keeping the cashier station clean and organized during the shift, ensuring that there are no spills, clutters, or misplaced items.
• Protecting customers’ personal and financial information during transactions.
• Count the cash in the drawer, ensuring the amount tallies with the day’s transactions and sales records, as well as credit card settlements
• Ensure all card transactions are accounted for and tally with the POS records.
• Clean the Cashier Station, including the counter, Card Readers, and any other equipment. Tidy up clutters and clear the trash from the area regularly.
• Cashier must be updated on a daily basic, the denomination of bank notes and coins are needed. Notify the manager ahead if the changes is running low. Ensure there is enough loose changes of bank notes and coins especially before weekends & Public Holiday.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience in F&B preferred (but not mandatory)

Good communication and teamwork skills

Able to work weekends, public holidays

Positive attitude, well-groomed, and customer-oriented
