Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern. This internship will provide hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and other key areas of finance, giving you the opportunity to enhance your skills and build your career in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Help with the preparation and reconciliation of accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in preparing presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Research and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Support the team with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
- Monitor and track expenses and assist in forecasting future costs.
- Help with audit preparation and compliance documentation.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (knowledge of financial modeling is a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for learning.
- Past related experience in finance or accounting such as out-of-school experiences like prior internships will make your application stand out.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Internship duration should be around 6 to 12 months full time.
