Part-Time Sales Assistant (Pet Retail)

About All Paws Loft

All Paws Loft is a boutique, appointment-only pet shop specializing in imported puppies from Australia, with a strong focus on Mini Dachshunds. We are committed to ethical pet retail, responsible care, and providing a personalized, private viewing experience for every customer.

We are looking for a responsible, sales-driven, and animal-loving individual to join us as a Part-Time Sales Assistant.

Job Scope

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing day-to-day shop operations
Daily care of puppies (feeding, cleaning, monitoring overall health)
Clearing puppies’ waste and maintaining strict hygiene standards
Sanitising and maintaining cleanliness of the shop
Observing puppies closely and identifying early signs of illness or distress
Managing and coordinating customer viewing appointments
Assisting customers during scheduled appointments and closing puppy sales
Retail sales of pet supplies and accessories
Handling basic administrative duties
Managing social media updates and postings
Taking quality photos and videos of puppies (photography/videography skills are a plus)

Working Hours

Full-time position
6 hours per shift (11AM to 5PM )
Work week is Monday to Sunday (based on scheduled shifts)
Must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays if appointments are scheduled
Shop operates on an appointment-only basis
Appointment booking hours are between 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Candidate must be available for scheduled appointments within operating hours

Flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability are essential due to the appointment-based nature of the business.

Requirements

Prior experience handling puppies is required
Able to recognize signs of illness or abnormal behavior in puppies
Must possess certification in Pet Care & Management (Companion Animals) by Animal & Veterinary Service
Comfortable with retail sales and customer interaction
Tech-savvy and familiar with social media platforms
Responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of animal welfare
Able to work independently in a hands-on environment
