Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing expert financial guidance, challenging and supporting the sales team to achieve financial targets, and advising senior management through sophisticated financial modeling, business projections, P&L analysis, and budgeting.

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

• Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategies with business objectives, advising and challenging the sales team to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Provide data-driven insights to senior management through advanced financial modeling, business projections, and P&L analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Propose creative financial solutions to optimize resources, enhance profitability, and mitigate risks.

1. Accounting Integrity

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Oversee timely preparation and submission of financial reports.

1. Budgeting and Cost Management

• Lead the annual budgeting process, implementing and monitoring approved budgets.
• Analyze budget variances, provide actionable recommendations, and drive cost optimization initiatives.

1. Financial Analysis and Planning

• Conduct in-depth analysis of key financial indicators and trends to support business plans and strategic objectives.
• Ensure robust profitability and liquidity through proactive financial oversight and scenario planning.

1. Audit and Compliance

• Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate taxation requirements, including GST submissions, in partnership with relevant authorities or external auditors.

1. Treasury and Cash Flow Management

• Manage treasury transactions, reporting to senior management and liaising with external financial institutions.
• Optimize cash flow within approved working capital limits and identify financial instruments to maximize returns on surplus funds.

1. Overseas Operations

• Oversee financial performance of international operations, providing strategic advice on financial systems, policies, and decisions.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies for potential international ventures as required.

1. Profit and Loss Accountability

• Establish and review business unit budgets annually, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Drive profitability of business development strategies and maintain operational expenditure within budget.

1. Grant and Program Management

• Ensure accurate reporting of consolidated data for program management.
• Maintain expertise in grant policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maximize funding opportunities.

1. People and Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the Finance team to deliver high-quality financial operations and promote cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture, encouraging innovation and accountability.

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a proven track record in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentations.
• At least 10 years’ experience in a finance leadership role, preferably with regional exposure
• Strong foundation in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. SAP, Accpac, Xero, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modelling) and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
