We are seeking an individual passionate ansd skilled in analytics and coding to join our CFD Market Making team at Phillip Securities. As a Data Analyst, you will play an active role in supporting hedging and trading strategies through data-driven insights and automation, with the ultimate goal of helping the team to develop end-to-end algorithm trading strategy. This position offers a valuable opportunity in gleaning hands-on insights on data analytics, quantitative finance and the financial industry. Working with the senior members of the team, your responsibilities include:
- Organize, maintain and clean the existing databases.
- Automate and review daily operational and analytical processes for efficiency.
- Interpret large datasets using statistical and mathematical tools in Python for predictive and prescriptive analysis, as well as the development of trading strategies.
- Collaborate with traders to identify patterns and optimize hedging strategies.
- Back-test and validate hedging and trading strategies.
- Automate hedging and trading strategies and develop scripts for trade execution.
- Develop automated dashboards and performance reports.
Requirements:
- Degree or Background in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent fields.
- Proficiency in Python and Microsoft Office is a must.
- Basic understanding of trading concepts and financial markets.
- Proficiency in SQL and computer language such as C/C++ is a plus.
