Software Engineer - Backend (JAVA, Spring Boot, Angular)
We are looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) to join our client’s team to maintain backend services and APIs that power our internal and customer-facing applications.

About the Roles:
- Contract Duration: 1-year contract (Renewable)
- Annual Leave: 18–21 days (encashable)

- Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2days WFH
- Working Hours:
o Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
o Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Our client designs and developssoftware applications that help government agencies better serve the needs ofSingaporeans. They adopt an Agile development approach and continuously worktowards applying modern engineering best practices and cutting-edge tools.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain backend servicesand RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with frontend engineers usingAngular to deliver seamless, user-centric applications
- Build, deploy and maintain scalable solutions onAWS, ensuring reliability, security and performance
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to supportautomated testing and deployment
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested codefollowing best engineering practices
- Participate actively in Agile ceremoniesincluding sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
- Work closely with product owners, designers andstakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Perform code reviews and contribute tocontinuous improvement of development standards
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application andproduction issues.
Requirement:
- Diploma in Information Technology, ComputerScience or a related discipline
- At least 4 years of working experience inbackend software development
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and SpringBoot
- Working knowledge of Angular andfrontend-backend integration
- Experience deploying and supporting applicationson AWS
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesand DevOps practices
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrumenvironment
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs,microservices architecture and relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
