Settlements & Accounting Specialist ( Established Financial Services MNC/ CBD )

We are partnering with a financial services client to hire a Settlements & Accounting Specialist to join a lean, high-performing investment operations team. This role sits at the intersection of trade support, fund accounting, and finance operations, supporting both public and private market activities.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth end-to-end trade settlement, accurate financial reporting, and strong operational control across a dynamic investment platform. You will work closely with trading, finance, and external counterparties to ensure all transactions are executed, recorded, and reconciled with precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trade support to the trading function, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of trades with brokers and custodians
  • Manage daily cash, trade, and FX activities, including reconciliations and settlement oversight
  • Deliver accurate portfolio and management reporting, including quarterly financials and P&L reporting
  • Support preparation of monthly accounts, financial statements, and audit coordination
  • Handle tax-related processes, including filings and management fee allocations across jurisdictions
  • Support KYC onboarding for brokers, custodians, and counterparties
  • Review and process payments, expenses, VAT and GST submissions
  • Maintain and enhance operational documentation and capital markets procedures
  • Support proxy voting processes and AGM-related administrative requirements
  • Undertake additional finance and operational duties as required
Requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Professional qualification (CA / CPA or equivalent) is an advantage
  • 5–8 years’ experience in settlements, fund accounting, or finance operations within financial services
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement cycles, and market infrastructure
  • Experience working with custodians, brokers, and fund administrators
  • Solid grounding in accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit coordination
  • Familiarity with both public and private markets preferred
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a disciplined and structured approach
  • Ability to work independently in a lean team environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence, with ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Other Information:

Working Location: Central
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

Basic Salary: S$6,000 or Above + Performance Bonuses
