Construction Manager / Site Manager (A1 main con, lift shafts) - JWY

We are representing a leading A1 main contractor, well-established in both the building and civil sectors, to hire a Construction Manager / Site Manager. This role focuses on the delivery of lift shaft projects at multiple locations across Singapore, including integration with existing overhead bridges and other commuter infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on-site operations, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective execution while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of project execution in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives set by stakeholders.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to fully understand project requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring smooth project delivery.
• Manage and coordinate technical aspects of the project, including M&E and architectural works, and represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
• Develop detailed construction programs and ensure effective planning and sequencing of works with attention to cost efficiency.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Liaise with all project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and monitor on-site progress against plans.
• Manage and control site resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to meet productivity and cost targets.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a high standard of worksite safety and quality control.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Candidates without a formal diploma but with substantial relevant site experience may be considered for the Site Manager role.
• Prior experience in infrastructure or building projects including lifts shafts is required.
• Strong technical knowledge in construction methods, sequencing, and coordination.
• Proven ability to manage site operations and subcontractor teams effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Location: Northwest, Singapore (Need travelling)
