AML Analyst (up $8,500 basic)

Salary: Up $8,500 basic

Responsibilities: Risk Assessment &Advisory

• Conduct AML/CTF risk assessments for new product features, market entries, and business line expansions under the direction of the Advisory Lead
• Draft and iterate AML compliance requirements for inclusion in business requirement documents(BRDs), ensuring controls are clearly specified and implementable
• Research and map AML/CTF typologies relevant to assigned product lines (e.g., transaction laundering for acquiring; loan stacking for BNPL; funds diversion for cash advance)
• Support the Advisory Lead in preparing risk acceptance memos and escalation materials for complex or novel scenarios
• Respond to routine AML queries from working-level stakeholders and MLROs; escalate complex or ambiguous questions to the Advisory Lead

• Assist in interpreting and applying global AML standards to product-specific scenarios, seeking Lead guidance where the standard is ambiguous Stakeholder Coordination
• Attend working-level meetings with product, technology, and operations teams to clarify AML requirements and answer implementation questions
• Document meeting outcomes, open items, and follow-up actions; track resolution with relevant stakeholders Support the Advisory Lead in preparing stakeholder briefing packs, committee materials, and regulatory engagement documentation

• Management Contribute to the team's knowledge base by documenting typology research, case studies, and lessons learned from completed assessments
• Support the Advisory Lead in maintaining templates, playbooks, and assessment tools to ensure consistency and efficiency

• 3‒5 years of experience in AML / CTF compliance, financial crime advisory, or a related function within a fintech, bank, payments institution, or professional services firm
• Working knowledge of AML / CTF regulatory frameworks in at least one APAC jurisdiction
• Experience drafting or contributing to compliance documentation such as risk assessments, policy procedures, or business requirement documents
• Understanding of the payments ecosystem, including digital wallets, e-commerce, cross border payments, merchant acquiring, or lending products
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear, implementable control specifications
• Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and structured documentation

• Professional certification in AML/CTF (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma) or progress toward certification
• Experience with AML risk assessments for product launches or market entries in a multi jurisdictional environment
• Familiarity with transaction monitoring concepts, including typology development and threshold calibration
• Experience working in or advising on financial services products such as BNPL, cash advance, or consumer lending
• Exposure to regulatory examinations, audits, or compliance testing programs
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional licensing environments across APAC
