L1 Production Support Engineer – Core Banking (24x7 Support)
Location: Changi Business Park, SingaporeEmployment Type: Contract (12–18 Months, Extendable)
Shift: 24x7 Rotational Shifts
Job Summary
We are looking for proactive L1 Production Support Engineers to provide 24x7 operational support for Core Banking applications. The role involves monitoring critical banking systems, incident management, troubleshooting, user support, batch processing oversight, and coordination with L2/L3 support teams to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Level 1 support for Core Banking applications and services.
- Monitor application health, batch jobs, interfaces, and system alerts.
- Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents through ITSM tools.
- Perform initial troubleshooting using logs, monitoring tools, and SQL queries.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams and external vendors.
- Manage user access requests, password resets, and permission changes.
- Execute daily operational procedures, checklists, and monitoring activities.
- Support release deployments, DR testing, and BCP activities.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
- Provide timely stakeholder communication and incident status updates.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
- Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
- Basic database knowledge (Oracle, MongoDB, SQL queries).
- Understanding of batch processing, file transfers, and application monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Requirements
L1 Production Support Engineer (3–5 Years)- Hands-on experience in application or production support environments.
- Experience handling incidents, monitoring critical applications, and stakeholder communication.
- Familiarity with banking or financial services environments is preferred.
- Experience in IT operations, application monitoring, helpdesk, or production support.
- Understanding of incident management and operational support processes.
- Strong willingness to learn and work in a 24x7 support environment.
- Experience in Core Banking, Banking, or Financial Services domains.
- Knowledge of production support processes and ITIL concepts.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and customer-focused mindset.
