Position Overview:

The role of Regional Business Head – Sales (ASEAN) is responsible for achieving the business objectives of TVS Motor (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. across ASEAN markets, including Original Equipment (OE) volumes, market share, and contribution margin (CAME).

The incumbent will be accountable for developing a highly capable, profitable, and professional distribution and service network in the region, driving business growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The position reports to the Division Head – ASEAN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned sales volumes, market share, and profitability for the assigned region.
  • Build customer satisfaction by ensuring strong service network coverage and optimal parts availability.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and develop Individual Development Plans to create a highly engaged and motivated internal team.
  • Select and appoint distributors in line with company standards, fostering a “shared destiny” partnership mindset.
  • Formulate and execute product, distribution, and marketing strategies to achieve CAME targets.
  • Gather and leverage market intelligence, including local regulations, duty structures, foreign exchange dynamics, homologation norms, and regional economic trends to drive business decisions.
  • Ensure a balanced approach between company profitability objectives and distributor profitability.
  • Design and implement competency-building programs for internal teams and distributor networks through effective sales training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams for new product development and product improvement initiatives tailored to regional market needs.
  • Work closely with distributors to develop marketing calendars and ensure timely implementation of plans.
  • Continuously improve Distributor Satisfaction Scores by addressing gaps in delivery, product quality, pricing, promotional support, and training inputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E) with MBA/PGDM from a recognized institution.
  • 12–15 years of experience in sales and business management within the automotive industry, with demonstrated expertise in managing multi-country operations in ASEAN.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage distributor relationships, and deliver sustainable business growth.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environments, and trade documentation processes in ASEAN.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
