Account Manager - Sales

The Account Manager is responsible for building and managing long‑term, strategic relationships with assigned customers. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Account Manager works closely with clients to shape solutions and address their most critical business challenges.

This role is accountable for profitable account growth, account expansion, and high‑quality delivery outcomes, while aligning customer needs with DXC’s portfolio and strategic priorities.

Essential Job Functions
  • Manage assigned client accounts, ensuring customer requirements are understood, met, and solutions are delivered effectively.
  • Support the development and execution of account strategies to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Maintain regular and proactive client engagement, building strong relationships and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross‑functional teams (delivery, solutioning, finance, and partners) to execute account initiatives successfully.
  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities to expand the account portfolio.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of client presentations, reports, and account reviews.
  • Monitor industry trends and customer environments to adapt account strategies and remain competitive.
  • Support and mentor junior account management professionals as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in IT services sales or account management.
  • Public sector experience with established networks and relationships is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in account farming and growth‑oriented account management.
  • Strong capability in account and cluster planning, including developing propositions to expand the account or customer cluster.
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success in account roles, meeting or exceeding revenue targets and strengthening client relationships.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute to business growth.
  • Continuous learner who stays current with industry trends, technology developments, and market dynamics.
Other Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Account Executive (CAE) or Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) are a plus.
