Job Title: AI Business Development Manager – South Asia
Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Business Development Manager to drive market adoption and revenue growth of our AI product portfolio across South Asia.
This is an external-facing, individual contributor role responsible for creating and developing opportunities through resellers, system integrators, and technology partners, while working closely with vendors to position AI solutions that address real customer business challenges.
The role requires strong understanding of the AI partner ecosystem and the ability to translate vendor AI technologies into commercial, solution-led opportunities for partners and end customers.
Responsibilities:
AI Business Development & Demand Creation- Drive business growth using Serial’s AI product and solution portfolio.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline aligned with assigned vendors and territories.
- Identify, qualify, and develop AI-related opportunities through partners and end customers, and handover qualified deals to the internal sales team for execution and closure.
- Work closely with country sales to ensure clear opportunity scoping, partner alignment, and smooth transition from opportunity creation to deal closure.
- Support sales teams with solution positioning, partner coordination, and vendor engagement throughout the sales cycle as required.
- Act as the front-end demand creation role, focusing on pipeline development rather than transactional order processing.
- Support partners in identifying customer use cases and positioning AI solutions.
- Translate vendor AI products into clear business use cases across industries.
- Articulate value propositions such as operational efficiency, automation, analytics, customer experience, and cost optimisation.
- Support solution mapping across AI stack components including data, infrastructure, models, and applications.
- Work closely with:
- Resellers
- System integrators
- ISVs
- Enable partners on AI solutions through training, solution workshops, and joint customer engagements.
- Support partner-led opportunities including account planning, deal shaping, and co-selling motions.
- Act as the primary BD interface for assigned AI vendors.
- Align go-to-market strategies with vendor objectives and regional focus.
- Participate in joint pipeline reviews, campaigns, and partner activities.
- Identify priority verticals and customer segments for AI adoption.
- Track AI market trends, competitor activity, and partner landscape.
- Represent Serial at partner events, vendor briefings, and customer meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in technology distribution, channel sales, or business development.
- Strong understanding of the AI ecosystem, including:
- AI hardware, platforms, and software solutions
- Cloud and data platforms
- Vendor–distributor–partner operating models
- Experience working with channel partners and vendor portfolios.
- Ability to translate technical products into solution-based business value.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-driven and comfortable operating as an individual contributor in a regional role.
