Early Intervention Teacher
SAIL Playhouse is an inclusive preschool and early intervention centre catering to children age 18 months to 6 years old, both typically developing and with additional needs. We are committed to offering a universally designed early education model that respects diversity and supports the needs of all children.
We are seeking passionate and qualified early interventionists who are excited to join our early education team in making a positive difference to the lives of children and their families. Your role will involve developing, supporting and assessing learning and developmental goals of children with additional needs, as well as working with our allied health professionals to support and empower teachers in the classroom to facilitate inclusion of children with additional needs in the classroom.
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Passion for nurturing the holistic development and growth of young children with various abilities
- Good classroom management skills
- A positive working attitude and is a team player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- At least 1 years experience working with children with special needs
Qualifications:
- 5 GCE O’ Level credits including English Language
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent recognised by ECDA, Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention OR Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Science related fields.
- Other certifications in special education are highly valued (e.g. CIA, HCIA, Adv Diploma in Early Intervention)
