Cloud Solution Architect - 12 months - Robert Half
The Company
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our client, a globally recognized consulting firm, as part of their Architecture & Design Authority function. In this role, you will define target cloud architectures, lead technical design reviews, and drive architectural governance across complex AWS environments.This is a high-impact opportunity to shape cloud strategy in highly regulated, enterprise-scale transformation programs.
This is a 12-month project with potential of extension.
The Role- Define and maintain reference architectures covering networking, security, and observability.
- Lead design spikes, run threat modelling exercises, and conduct AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews.
- Guide decision-making on AWS service selection (ie ECS Fargate vs. EKS, Aurora vs. RDS).
- Mentor engineering teams and approve significant pull requests and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) modules.
- Ensure designs align with regulatory and financial constraints (MAS/TRM, PDPA, PCI, FinOps).
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, including 5+ years focused on AWS in large-scale migration or transformation programs.
- AWS Solutions Architect, Professional certification (mandatory).
- In-depth understanding of cloud-native patterns, multi-account landing zones, and security controls.
- Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks: MAS TRM, PDPA, PCI DSS.
- Exposure to FinOps principles and cost-aware design.
- Skilled in modern architecture practices including IaC, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
- Strong interpersonal and advisory skills to influence stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
