Senior Project Engineer/Site Engineer

The Senior Building Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading building works, particularly for podium and superstructure works, from planning through to actual site execution.
- Liaise with authorities, clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders on building-related matters.
- Support Project Manager/Project Director in overall project delivery.
- Plan and coordinate construction sequences for various trades, including core wall, formwork systems, steel structures, material hoists, and tower cranes.
- Lead actual site works after the planning stage to ensure smooth execution.
- Highlight technical issues and coordinate with the Design Department on design changes; disseminate updates to vendors, engineers, and supervisors.
- Coordinate closely with the M&E team to ensure smooth integration of M&E services into building works.
- Review and evaluate subcontractors’ risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures.
- Handle technical and engineering issues arising during construction.
- Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Ensure variation orders for building works are properly implemented and cost implications are accurately recorded.
- Ensure site implementation of safety standards in compliance with IMS and safe work method statements.
- Attend daily site coordination meetings and provide detailed coordination with subcontractors to address safety and work sequencing issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Building or Engineering.
- At least 7 years of project management and site experience in building and construction, civil and structural projects.
- Experience for at least one high-rise project.
