SPED Teacher at Metta School delivers special education to students with Mild Intellectual Disability and/or mild Autism Spectrum Disorder, applying tailored curricula and collaborating with allied professionals to support student development and future employability.

• Plan Individual and Group Education Plans, Schemes of Work, and Weekly Lesson Plans to structure semester and weekly teaching goals
• Design lessons, meaningful activities, and assessment tasks that engage students and measure learning outcomes
• Teach academic and non-academic subjects to students aged 7 to 18 using the school curriculum in classroom or specialized settings
• Monitor and document students’ progress, achievements, and participation in school activities to inform instructional adjustments
• Implement intervention strategies collaboratively with Allied Health Professionals to support students’ speech, motor skills, social interaction, and psychological needs
• Prepare and utilize diverse teaching aids and ICT tools to accommodate varying learning abilities among students
• Equip students with prerequisite skills to enhance their future employment opportunities
• Collaborate with parents through calls, emails, notes, conferences, or home visits to support students’ holistic growth and development

• Degree or diploma from a recognized local educational institution
• Completion of full ‘A’ level with either:

1. 2 ‘A’/H2 Level passes and 2 ‘AO’/H1 Level passes (including valuedGeneral Paper or Knowledge Inquiry)

• At least 5 ‘O’ level credits, including a minimum B grade in English and Mathematics
• Diploma in Education or Diploma in Special Education (DISE) is an advantage
• Relevant experience teaching special needs students is highly valued.
