About the Job

Reporting to the Director, The Assistant Director, API will have the opportunities to create impact across diverse needs in Singapore. Grant making in CFS is evolving towards becoming a catalyst for systemic change with a greater emphasis on sustainability and impact.

We are looking for an individual who can support CFS to drive the grantmaking strategies and operations to achieve greater efficiency, efficacy and impact. This role may also lead and coach a team of consultants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as specialist in several causes (Accessing Quality Education, Climate & Environment, Animal Welfares) with deep knowledge of macro trends, needs, gaps and curate impactful programmes in each cause.
  • Foster close partnerships with charities and philanthropy advisors from the Partnerships & Advisory team to provide quality funding opportunities and programme offerings to donors.
  • Conduct Charity assessments as part of the Know-Your-Grantee (KYG) process to ensure funded charities are robust.
  • Arrange charity engagement events and visits to charities for donors to learn about community needs and funding opportunities.
  • Oversee grant making to ensure donations flow in a smooth and timely manner to grantees.
  • Monitor funded programmes to ensure smooth programme delivery and appropriate fund utilisation by grantees.
  • Monitor and evaluate funded programme impact reports.
COMPETENCIES
  • Basic degree in Social Sciences preferred; Additional certifications in impact measurement or sustainability would be a plus
  • At least 7 years of direct experience managing grants or programme development in non-profit sector or public service sector
  • Core competencies in donor engagement, programme development, programme evaluation, and grant management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong proactive attitude.
  • Supportive team player and enjoys collaborating with others on projects
  • Meticulous eye for detail
