Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Field Service Representative, you will perform maintenance and repairs on all simulation systems and their components for small- to medium-sized defence related projects. Your responsibilities will include repairing individual components, managing the warehouse, coordinating material procurement, and generating accompanying documents for reporting purposes.

• Maintenance and repair of complex simulation systems
• Troubleshooting and fault rectification (electrical/mechanical) on complex systems at the customer's site
• Repair of defective assemblies
• Provision of services for PCs, networks, projectors, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, and vehicle-specific operating components of the simulated device
• Documentation of services performed and creation of error logs
• Planning and managing subcontractors to ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out on time and within budget
• Advising customers on system-related questions and maintenance/further development recommendations
• Support the Site manager or designated managers in preparing ISS contracts
• Preparing and implementing customer training courses on operating and maintaining/servicing the system

• Attained Diploma or higher qualification in an engineering field
• Good English skills (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and basic software skills (e.g., Windows, Linux, and network administration)
• Experience in handling technical system documentation and electrical test equipment
• Possesses good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience in maintenance or system integration in a similar industry
• Trained electrician with authorization to work on electrical systems up to 400 V AC in accordance with applicable laws is preferred
• At least 3 years of working experience is desirable
• Ability to obtain the necessary security clearances for access to MINDEF classified information
• Willingness to travel worldwide
