The Role
Are you passionate about automation and semiconductor technology? We are looking for a talented Equipment Automation Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge equipment automation solutions for new and existing tools in a high-tech semiconductor manufacturing environment.
What you will do:
- Lead Equipment Automation System (EAS) implementation projects from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Perform SECS/GEM communication and process scenario characterization for semiconductor equipment.
- Document equipment integration requirements and design automation scenarios, including MES and peripheral systems integration (e.g., Recipe Management System, Fault Detection, R2R).
- Develop, test, and integrate EAS with equipment simulation.
- Conduct final acceptance tests guided by approved test plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams, IT, and external vendors to troubleshoot and optimize automation software and interfaces.
What you need to have:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in equipment integration and automation development.
- Strong knowledge of SECS/GEM protocols (E30, E37, GEM300, SEMI PV2).
- Experience with TCS/VTAP, .NET Framework, Windows MFC Application development.
- Proficiency in VB, C++, or C; knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with middleware and messaging systems (e.g., CORBA, RabbitMQ).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
