Job Vacancy: Electrical & Controls Design Engineer (Mid-Senior)

Company Overview: We are a turnkey robotic automation and machine design firm specializing in high-precision solutions. As we scale our operations, we are seeking a seasoned Electrical & Controls Engineer to take full ownership of the electrical lifecycle of our projects.

1. Scope of Work (The Mission)

This is an end-to-end engineering role. You will be responsible for:

• System Design: Designing complete electrical control systems for robotic cells and custom machinery, including power distribution, I/O, and safety architectures.
• Engineering Documentation: Developing full electrical schematic packages and panel layouts using EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.
• PLC/HMI Development: Writing robust, modular code for PLCs and designing intuitive HMI interfaces (experience with Mitsubishi, Omron, Inovance, or Beckhoff is highly valued).
• Robotic Integration: Programming and interfacing 6-axis robots (e.g., ABB/ Kuka/Funau) with master controllers and peripheral equipment.
• Project Lead: Managing the electrical Bill of Materials (BOM), coordinating with panel builders, and ensuring all hardware meets international safety standards.
• Commissioning: Leading the internal "dry-run" testing and final on-site commissioning to ensure performance meets customer specifications.

1. Requirements (The Profile)

• Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in industrial automation or special purpose machine building.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in multi-axis Motion Control (Servo/VFD sizing and tuning).
• Strong knowledge of Industrial Networking (EtherCAT, Profinet, CC-Link).
• Ability to design to Category 3/4 Safety standards (Light curtains, safety PLCs, etc.).
• Independence: Ability to manage a project’s electrical scope from concept to completion without daily technical supervision.
• Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Location/Travel: Based in our facility with occasional travel for site installations and customer support.

1. Working Location & Environment

• The Workshop: Our facility is a modern automation lab where we design, build, and test turnkey robotic systems. You will have a dedicated design station and direct access to the assembly floor for real-time testing.
• On-Site Commissioning: Periodic travel to customer sites (local and regional) is required for final installation and hand-over. We ensure all travel is planned in advance with full hardware support.
