Assistant Project Manager - Sembawang

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects undertaken by the Company — ensuring delivery within schedule, cost, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience managing complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and regulatory authorities, providing technical guidance and supervision to ensure project objectives are met.
• Review and verify construction drawings, design details, variation orders, and defect lists to ensure accuracy before construction or payment processing to subcontractors.
• Lead and manage project teams, including on-the-job coaching, performance tracking, and productivity monitoring.
• Plan, forecast, and monitor subcontractors’ work progress; prepare weekly schedules and conduct daily coordination meetings to ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee logistics and operational arrangements to support daily site activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, safety, and quality.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience (preferably with a main contractor in tunnelling or hotel projects).
• Proven ability to manage deliverables and project milestones — ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in line with specifications.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
