The Assistant Sales Manager (Catering) will primarily focus on driving catering sales business for the hotel, which involves strategic planning, client relationship building, and revenue generation. This role also involves effective team coordination to ensure seamless event execution.

Assistant Sales Manager (Catering)

Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Director of Sales (Events), the incumbent will be responsible for:-
  • Actively promote and market the hotel's function rooms and outlets for weddings, conferences, meetings, exhibitions, and other events, thereby driving revenue and maximizing profits
  • Proactively acquire new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to expand the hotel's market share
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, conducting comprehensive site inspections and providing tailored proposals
  • Provide services to our guests in order to grow share of the account on behalf of the Hotel
  • Prepare group proposals, lead negotiations, and finalize contracts to secure new and repeat business for all groups, meetings, and events
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
  • Collaborate closely with Banquet and other relevant departments to ensure seamless event execution and maximize guest and vendor satisfaction
  • Represent the Hotel at customer events
  • Contribute and participate in hotel-organised sales activities and any other organised sales initiatives by the Group
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets, contributing significantly to the team's overall revenue goals
  • Ensure strict adherence to the hotel's credit policy, overseeing timely and full settlement of payments as per contractual agreements
Requirements
  • Must have proven track record of at least 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity within the hotel industry.
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, proactive, and strongly service and results-oriented
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
